This single arch bridge constructed with large stone blocks connected the two banks of the Ouveze River
« Et a septentrione Ovidia flumen Vasionem attingit, et supra id flumen ad hanc urbem est pons lapideus, Romanorum aut alterius gentis validæ opus. »
= To the north, the Ouveze River flows through Vaison, and in this town, over this river, is a stone bridge, built by the Romans or by other vigorous people.
