Androuet du Cerceau’s drawing is the sole graphic attestation of the theatre conserved from the Renaissance. A drawing dated 1593, which was conserved in the Monastery of the Feuillants, is known through a copy made by Beaumesnil, but the original is now lost (Guibert 1900, p. 18-20, n° 30)
