Zinzerling stayed in France from 1612 to 1616. If the existence of a Temple of Apollo at Toulouse cannot be doubted, its situation remains uncertain. Certain historians identify, without proof, its site as being that currently occupied by the Church of Saint-Quintin. According to ancient hearsay, the temple was located in the Daurade area

« Iovis Hammonis templum fuisse volunt, quod Beatæ Virgini consecratum ; Apollinis, quod D. Quintino. »
= “The temple supposed to be have been dedicated to Jupiter Ammon is now dedicated to the Virgin; that supposed to be dedicated to Apollo is now dedicated to St Quintin.”
