« Innanzi che si entri in Poitiè, si vedeno a man manca i vestigii di un aquedutto antico, che conduceva acqua alla città . [ ] Di fuora, come ho detto, si vede un aquedutto.
= Before entering Poitiers, one can see, on the left, the remains of an ancient aqueduct, which provided the city with water. [ ] Outside the town, as I have said, one can see an aqueduct.
