The birds-eye view of the two banks of the Rhone includes the remains of the Roman bridge which linked Arles and the suburb known as the Faubourg de Trinquetaille: the base of an arch (G) can be discerned on the left bank and, opposite this, the foundations of a series of arches (F), sole remnant of the right bank attachment of the pontoon bridge
