The vestiges in question could not have been the remains of the theatre, the site of which had not been identified in the Renaissance. They may have been those of the ‘Château Narbonnais’ and the ‘Porte Narbonnaise’ destroyed in the middle of the 16th century. Fonteny drew on Des Rues
